Welcome to Camp for Curious Minds, where adventure, learning, and fun come together! PacSci is excited to announce the opening of our camp scholarship application on Feb. 1, 2024, providing an opportunity for learners to experience the magic of camp without any financial burden.

In 2023, PacSci awarded 339 Camps for Curious Minds scholarships across all six of our camp locations and we are pleased to extend these opportunities again this summer!

How to apply

1. Visit the Camps for Curious Minds’ Summer Camps website
2. Go to Summer Camps Scholarship web page
3. Complete a separate application for each individual camper before March 27, 2024
   • Note: Siblings can be added within the application, but each potential camper requires an individual application.
4. While completing the application, you will be asked if you can provide proof of eligibility for the scholarship. Requirements to be eligible are:
   • Camper qualified for free or reduced lunch program for the 2023-2024 school year.
   • Camper is in the foster care system currently or was during the 2023-2024 school year.
   • Parent/guardian enrolled in the food assistance program (SNAP) or other public assistance programs.
   • Family Access or Youth Access Membership: A low-income membership in the parent/guardian or camper’s name.
5. Once completed, if you do not receive a notification that your submission was received, email the Camps Team for confirmation.

Important Dates

• Application opens Feb. 1, 2024
• Application closes March 27, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
• Scholarship notifications are April 1, 2024, including details about the specific camp session for which the scholarship has been awarded.

During the application period, visit our website and complete the application, where you will have the chance to list your preferences for a camp theme, location, and date.

Scholarship Coverage

Camp scholarships cover the entire cost of one week of camp tuition. Also, recipients can enjoy free daily catered lunches, snacks, and Extended Care.

Requiring proof of eligibility ensures fair allocation of limited funds, prioritizing those facing economic challenges.

Our commitment to inclusivity aims to provide opportunities for all children to learn and create lasting memories together, regardless of financial circumstances.

Important Notes:

i. All camps guardians registered through CampDoc must be fully paid for by the registrant.

ii. Scholarships are awarded on a lottery basis, depending on available spaces.

iii. Once notified of receiving a scholarship, you will receive an invitation to complete the registration process through CampDoc.

iv. To qualify for a scholarship, a separate application must be submitted for each camper.
