At Pacific Science Center, birthdays are more than cake and candles — they’re slime-filled, constellation-building, microscope-exploring celebrations packed with curiosity and creativity. Give your child a party that sparks imagination and creates lasting memories.

Birthday Packages

Each birthday party packages includes:

  • Science-Themed Activity (20-minute guided experience): Led by our expert educators and designed to engage curious minds with hands-on activities. All supplies are included — just bring the excitement.
  • Private Party Room for 90 Minutes: Celebrate with up to 30 total guests (children and adults). We include everyone in the count so there are enough materials for all participants.
  • Dedicated Party Coordinator: We’ll help you plan in advance and welcome your guests on the big day so you can relax and enjoy.
  • Free 2-Hour Parking
  • Three Birthday Party Admission Tickets: Included with each Birthday Party Experience

Pricing

Guests must purchase 30% discounted admission tickets via a unique ticket link.

  • Members: $300
  • Non-members: $350

We make celebrating simple with:

  • 15-minute load in before and load out after your party
  • 90 minutes in your private room
  • Pizza delivery welcome
  • Bring your own decorations (painters’ tape only)

Helium balloons, glitter, confetti, candles, sparklers, and open flames are not permitted.

Birthday Experiences

Typical activity duration is about 20-45 minutes and begins once all guests have arrived.

Butterflies & Dinos:
Ages 4 & Under

Color, explore, and discover fun facts about two kid-favorite topics — butterflies and dinosaurs.

Marshmallow Constellations: Ages 3–8

Build your own 2D or 3D constellations with marshmallows and toothpicks, then create a story behind your starry masterpiece.

New! MicroWorlds:
Ages 5+

Step into the microscopic universe. Explore tiny wonders up close and document your discoveries like a real scientist.

slime-Ology:
Ages 6–10

Mix, stretch, and experiment your way to the perfect batch of colorful slime to take home.

Party Times

Birthday experiences are available Saturdays and Sundays with the choice of one time slot:

  • 10–11:30 a.m.
  • 12:15–1:45 p.m.
  • 2:30–4 p.m.

Reservations are first-come, first served.

Important Booking Details

  • Membership benefits for Birthday Party Experiences are a $50 discounted room rate. If any of your party guests are also members, their benefits may not be applied to this experience or admission.
  • All birthday guests must have a Birthday Party Admission Ticket. Up to 27 Birthday Party Tickets can be purchased at 30% off. Tickets include General Admission and the birthday party.
  • One adult is required for every five children to assist with activity. PacSci staff facilitate the scheduled activity and support the room rental, but parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
  • Final guest count is due one week prior.
  • Bookings must be confirmed at least 2 weeks in advance with a signed agreement and deposit.

Policies & Expectations

CANCELLATION & CHANGE POLICY

Birthday packages are non-refundable. Change requests are subject to availability. A $100 rebooking fee applies for change made within 3 business days of your party date.

Supervision Policy

Birthday parties are not drop-off events. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times. PacSci staff facilitate the activity but do not provide childcare.

  • Recommended: One adult to 5 children
  • Under age 5: One adult to about 3 children

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES

Outside food and beverages are welcome. PacSci can also provide a list of approved catering partners. No cooking appliances are available, and paper goods (plates, cups, napkins, tablecloths) are not included.

PARTY ROOM Access & SETUP

You may access the party room 15 minutes before and after your rental time for setup and cleanup. Early arrivals are not allowed.

For safety and environmental reasons, helium balloons, glitter, confetti, and open flames are not permitted. Imitation candles are allowed. Decorations may be hung with painter’s tape (please bring your own).
