Birthday Parties

GENERAL BOOKING & SPECIAL REQUESTS

• Experiences must be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to your desired date and secured with a signed group agreement and deposit.
• All bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
• Feel free to contact us for any special requests or accommodations needed for your child’s party.
• We recommend having at least one adult for every 10 children in your group to ensure safety and proper supervision.
• Parents are expected to always keep supervision of their children while visiting the science center.
• Parking is not provided, and we recommend parking on the street or in the nearby Claypool Garage for a fee.
• Lockers are available for rent outside of Building 5 for a small fee, but storage is not available in the birthday party area before or after your party.
• Please ensure all group guests are respectful of PacSci staff, exhibits, equipment, and other guests of Pacific Science Center, ensuring everyone can have a fantastic time.

CANCELLATION & CHANGE POLICY

• All birthday packages are non-refundable, but you may contact Venue Experiences to request a change of date.
• Change requests are subject to availability, and it is recommended to make any changes as far in advance as possible.
• A re-booking fee of $100 will be applied for change requests that fall within 3 business days of the original party date.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES

• You are allowed to bring outside food and beverages for the celebration. For full-service options, PacSci is happy to provide approved catering companies.
• For safety reasons, please refrain from bringing food that requires the use of an oven or fridge, as we do not have cooking appliances available.
• Napkins, tablecloths, cups, and plates are not included.

PARTY ROOM SETUP

• Guests will have access to the party room 15 minutes before and after the rental time for set up and takedown of decorations.
• If there is only one Science Educator present, the maximum capacity for the room is 20 youth.
• For safety and environmental reasons, helium balloons, glitter, confetti, and items with an open flame are not allowed inside Pacific Science Center.
• However, imitation candles are permitted, and you may use painter’s tape for hanging decorations (please bring your own).

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

• If you are a member, your membership benefits will be applied when you book your party at the member rate.
• However, if any of your party guests are also members, their benefits cannot exceed the number of guests included in your package price.

BIRTHDAY ACTIVITIES

Our activity offerings cater to the diverse interests and developmental stages of your young guests. Whether they are budding scientists, creative minds, or enthusiastic explorers, we have activities that will excite and engage them. Each activity is carefully curated to blend entertainment with education, ensuring that your child and their friends have a blast while learning fascinating scientific concepts.

By participating in these interactive and hands-on activities, your guests will not only have a memorable celebration but also gain new knowledge and appreciation for science and the natural world.

Activities include:

• Butterflies and Dinos – Color and learn some fun facts about butterflies and dinosaurs. Best for ages 4 and under.
• Marshmallow Constellations – Guests can make their own star constellations and tell their own story behind them with either 2D or 3D shapes made of marshmallows and blunted toothpicks. Best for ages 3–8 years old.
• Slime-ology – Guests can make their own colorful slime from scratch. Best for ages 6–10 years old.
• 3D Pens – Similar to a hot glue guns mechanics, but PacSci uses filament of all colors to make and build any 3D shape the kids would like to make. Best for ages 10 and older since there is heat involved.
