Kevin Malgesini
President & CEO
he/him
Kevin has spent more than 15 years in nonprofit leadership across Seattle’s cultural and arts sector, and is honored to bring that experience to guiding PacSci’s mission, strategy, and long-term impact for the community. Along with experience leading capital campaigns and stewarding organizations through periods of growth and transformation, he brings genuine enthusiasm for connecting generations of families around science, discovery, and hands-on learning.
Fun fact
Kevin’s connection to PacSci spans three generations, starting with his father’s visit during the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, continuing through Kevin’s own childhood visits, and now carrying on with his son.
It is an honor to join Pacific Science Center at this pivotal moment. PacSci has long been a foundational institution in our region, connecting generations of families to science, discovery, and hands-on learning. As we look to the future, there is clear opportunity to extend PacSci’s reach and relevance, continuing to expand access, strengthening community partnerships, and evolving how we engage people of all ages in science and innovation.

Mädchen Beltrie, CPA
Vice President of Finance & Technology
she/her
As VP of Finance & Technology, Mädchen leads financial operations at PacSci and enjoys finding resourceful solutions to help us better serve our community and further our mission. Her background is in public accounting, where she specialized in nonprofit accounting, providing audit, single audit, tax, and consulting services for her clients. She holds a bachelor’s in business administration and accounting from Ohio State University.
Fun Fact
When not at PacSci, Mädchen can be found tending her small farm, including chickens, ducks, and some very curious goats!
I have benefitted so much from institutions like PacSci that lit the spark of creativity and curiosity in me through STEM education, and I am proud to be part of an organization that’s helping create our future leaders in STEM.

Claudia Sironi
Vice President of People & Culture
she/her
As VP of People & Culture, Claudia Sironi leads the team responsible for human resources.
With leadership roles spanning Chewy, eBay, Nordstrom, and Ralph Lauren, Claudia has a proven track record in shaping innovative talent strategies, supporting inclusive cultures, and championing employee development on a global scale. Her work has empowered organizations to strengthen their teams, adapt to evolving work environments, and celebrate the unique potential of each employee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, art history and journalism from Skidmore College.
Claudia is of Italian descent and grew up on the East Coast and in France. She lived in New York City until 2017 when she moved to Seattle with her family and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.
Fun Fact
Claudia has spent countless hours exploring museums with her two children. In fact, it was at the Museum of Natural History’s butterfly exhibit where she and her husband had their first date!

Emily Stumhofer
General Counsel
she/her
As General Counsel, Emily leads PacSci’s legal, compliance, and risk management strategies. By protecting the institutional health of our historic campus and overseeing our contracts process, she works behind the scenes to build a secure foundation where curiosity and experimentation can thrive. Emily has more than 10 years experience in legal practice and risk management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Colorado College and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Fun Fact
Emily has lived in 12 different states and spends a lot of time traveling both domestically and internationally. Her 50th state was Michigan, and she has an ongoing goal to get the whole family to every state (and as many countries as possible)—next up, West Virginia and Norway!
I believe that true discovery requires the freedom to experiment, and meaningful experimentation always carries a bit of the unknown. I am proud to support PacSci teams creating experiences and spaces where our community can safely push boundaries, ask big questions, and let their curiosity take flight.

Raphaela Romero
Vice President of Guest Services
she/her
Raphaela leads all aspects of PacSci’s front-line operations, including the ticket office, shop, concessions, and reservations. She previously spent 7 years in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry at Wyndham, Sonesta, and Westin hotels. Raphaela holds a bachelor’s in English and literature from Xavier University of Louisiana and a master’s in anthropology and global culture from the University of Pennsylvania.
Fun Fact
Raphaela has always been fascinated by space and astronomy. She owned a telescope as a child and has fond memories of stargazing in the dark skies of southwest Louisiana as a youngster. You may have already guessed it, but Raphaela’s favorite part of PacSci is the Planetarium.
PacSci—just like curiosity—is for all of us. Under these arches, we’re committed to access for all and motivated by each guest to be better tomorrow than we were today.

Julie O’Mara
Director of Marketing & Membership
she/her
As Director of Marketing & Membership at Pacific Science Center, Julie is responsible for sharing PacSci’s transformative work with the community and building meaningful connections with visitors and supporters. Her career has centered on marketing strategy, from supporting Amazon Devices to leading Rover’s international growth strategy. Her journey to Seattle started in 2020 after completing her MBA at Vanderbilt University. Having begun her career in the nonprofit sector in Indianapolis, she’s excited to return to mission-driven work that makes a real impact in communities.
Fun Fact
She holds a degree in Vocal Performance and has performed with The Rolling Stones as part of a choir at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Shannon Lindgren
Director of Corporate, Foundation, & Government Relations
she/her
Shannon has spent nearly 15 years as a professional fundraiser in museums and science centers, and is proud to cultivate relationships with corporate, foundation, and government partners to advance the mission of PacSci. Along with deep experience in institutional giving, corporate membership, and capital campaigns, she brings genuine enthusiasm for expanding access to informal science learning for children and adults of all ages.
Fun Fact
This is Shannon’s second role in a building originally constructed as a temporary structure for a World’s Fair. Her first was a six-year tenure at Chicago’s Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, which rose from the former Palace of Fine Arts Building from the 1893 Columbian Exposition.
“I believe a single hands-on STEM experience in a place like PacSci can spark curiosity, shape a young person’s future career path, and expand their sense of what’s possible. I am honored to champion this important work and help inspire the next generation of innovators here in Seattle.”

Gabriel Mosse
Director of Individual Giving
he/him
As Director of Individual Giving, Gabe leads strategy and execution for all aspects of individual philanthropy at PacSci—including annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving—to grow donor support and deepen community engagement in support of our mission.
With more than 15 years of experience supporting STEM education and non-profit initiatives, Gabe has served at cultural institutions across the country, including the Museum of Science, Boston and the LeMay-America’s Car Museum in Tacoma. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, and a master’s of liberal arts from Harvard University, with a concentration in museum studies.
Fun Fact
Gabe is a life-long science-fiction geek. When not at PacSci, he may be found playing table-top games like D&D, video gaming, or rewatching Star Trek for the umpteenth time.

Zeta Strickland
Director of Education
she/her
Zeta leads the teams responsible for delivering educational, inspiring and interactive programming to the curious minds that PacSci serves each year. Through in-person and virtual programming, and with hands-on engagements, storytelling, and real-world STEM connections, programs take place at PacSci and across Washington state.
With over 25 years experience in informal education, Zeta has created and delivered programs to learners of all ages across all STEM fields, has conducted teacher trainings in astronomy and facilitation techniques. She has a geology degree from Lawrence University in Wisconsin and has a secondary teaching certification in science.
Fun Fact
Zeta started her PacSci career as a Science on Wheels teacher, and has taught in all 39 counties in Washington state. Her first time experiencing a portable planetarium dome was in 3rd grade.
“Ever since I was a child staring into the dark sky in rural Colorado, I’ve been curious about the world around me. I’m so proud of all our programs that reach learners and curious minds of all ages. Science, discovery, and curiosity are everywhere, and so are we!”
