Pacific Science Center (PacSci) and Tasveer are pleased to announce their new partnership ahead of the 18th annual Tasveer Film Festival (TSAFF). From October 12 to 22, several films from TSAFF will be screened at PacSci’s PACCAR IMAX® Theater. This edition of the TSAFF marks its first year as the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival in the world. Winning short films will qualify for submission to the Academy Awards.

This year, TSAFF will present 83 feature, short, and documentary films by over 55 filmmakers, including 33 female directors. The films represent 11 countries and 26 languages. Themes include LGBTQIA+ issues, women empowerment, immigration, and climate change. In-person screenings will run from October 12 to 15, followed by virtual screenings on TasveerTV from October 16 to 22.
