King County Cultural Advocacy Summit
Join your fellow culture advocates at the King County Cultural Advocacy Summit, hosted by Pacific Science Center! This is a unique chance for staff and advocates for King County arts, heritage, science, and cultural organizations to gather together and develop strategy to support our entire sector. Whether this is your first step into government affairs and seeking public funding or policy change, or you’re a seasoned professional, this event has something for you! Lunch will be provided.
Explore public funding and policy opportunities, connect with peers from other cultural institutions, and hear directly from policymakers on how to effectively communicate your organization’s cultural impact.

| 12:30–2 p.m. | Break Out: Advocacy Strategy for Cultural Organizations Connect with cultural government affairs professionals on how to effectively communicate your organization’s impact to elected officials. This session will have an advanced and beginners’ option. Choose which two breakout topics you’d like to learn about across two 40-minutes long sessions. Both sessions will provide the same information: Track A offers more advanced friendly subjects and Track B offers more beginner friendly subjects.
