PacSci Announces 21+ Summer Events

Local craft breweries and cideries from across Washington come to PacSci on June 10 for Brewology, presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union

SEATTLE ⁠— May 9, 2022 ⁠— Pacific Science Center (PacSci) is excited to announce its 21+ events for the summer, including highly anticipated returns of Brewology and Summer Happy Hours.

Brewology

For the first time since PacSci’s reopening, PacSci’s most popular tasting event, Brewology, returns on Saturday, June 10, presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union. The last iteration of Brewology in 2019 saw over 800 tickets sold. Attendees can taste craft beers and ciders from across the state of Washington and learn how they were made directly from the brewmasters themselves.

“Making good beer is as much about managing chemical reactions as it is about pairing flavors. At Brewology, guests can learn about the science behind craft beers while tasting the finished product,” said Evan Watts, Founder and Head Brewer of Bothell-based Watts Brewing Company.

The study of the brewing process has led to major developments in scientific disciplines from microbiology to statistics that we take advantage of on a daily basis, both in the brewery and out. Each Brewology ticket includes 10 different beer and cider tastings; live music by KEXP’s DJ Evie; fun activities; a souvenir tasting glass; and the opportunity to explore PacSci after-hours. Early Bird tickets are on sale now. Reduced-price tickets for designated drivers are also available for purchase.

Summer Happy Hours

PacSci’s Summer Happy Hours — a.k.a. your go-to after-work plans — are also back. Attendees can enjoy the Tropical Butterfly House; shows in the Planetarium and Laser Dome; live music, including by KEXP’s DJ Evie; and cocktails, wine, beer, and food provided by Navi Catering. Sold out last summer, Summer Happy Hours tickets are back on sale now.

The Summer Happy Hours schedule follows below:

  • Wednesday, May 17
  • Wednesday, June 28
  • Wednesday, July 26
  • Wednesday, August 23
  • Wednesday, September 20.

Happy Hours run from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket price. Cash and Venmo are accepted.

Guests must be 21+ to attend Brewology and Summer Happy Hours.
