Calling all space enthusiasts! Join us for an evening in our PACCAR theater where cosmic exploration meets human ambition–both on screen and in reality! 

Before the screening, hear from three talented aerospace professionals from Blue Origin who are working on the next chapter of space exploration. They’ll share insights into how real-world space missions are being designed to take us to new heights! Together we will watch Interstellar and observe the similarities and differences between the film’s vision and the real work shaping our future in space. 

Note: This movie will be screened in the PACCAR IMAX theater and it will not be in the 1:43 aspect ratio.

About the speakers

Blue Origin is a Washington-born aerospace company dedicated to expanding humanity’s presence beyond Earth. Daria Opekunova

Daria Opekunova is a product manager and space resources researcher who’s passionate about building the future of human life beyond Earth. She works in the aerospace industry developing technologies that help mission control teams operate spacecraft more efficiently.

Daria is also pursuing a PhD in Space Resources at the Colorado School of Mines, where she studies how we can power future missions on the Moon using local materials and sustainable energy systems. She believes space exploration is for everyone who dreams, creates, and builds.

Daria’s mission is to inspire the next generation of explorers to see themselves as part of humanity’s journey to the stars. 

Mareach (Moe) Angok

Mareach (Moe) Angok is a Senior Design System Integrator with 19 years in aerospace, from early work on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the past four years on the New Glenn rocket.

He holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University. He thrives at the intersection of design and systems integration and enjoy collaborating across disciplines to deliver complex programs. Outside of work, he enjoys dancing, time with my family, and continuous learning.

My dream is to go to space, and my vision is to create financial freedom for my family, inspire and equip others, and remain a lifelong learner.”

Quinn Kupec

Quinn Kupec is the Mission Analysis Lead for the Human Landing System in Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence business unit. His work focuses on architecture definition and analysis for the elements of Blue Origin’s Human Landing System that will return astronauts to the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis program.

Quinn received a patent for his invention of novel launch and recovery schemes for reusable launch vehicles. Some of his favorite space movies are: Interstellar, The Martian, and Apollo 13.
