Join PacSci for a screening of Cosmic Dawn, the extraordinary true story of the James Webb Space Telescope and its mission to uncover the origins of our universe. From decades of engineering challenges to a breathtaking launch and deployment, this NASA documentary captures humanity’s boldest attempt yet to peer back in time towards the very first light after the Big Bang.

Following the film, we’ll be joined by Keith Krumm, a local NASA Solar System Ambassador, for an audience Q&A. Keith will be available to share insights on how JWST connects to what we can observe from Earth and what it means for the future of space exploration. During the day, Keith will also be hosting solar viewing in PacSci’s courtyard area, weather permitting. Be sure to join for this chance to peer through a solar telescope and learn what observation of the Sun can reveal about our closest star!

Cosmic Dawn is rated G. Due to the nature of this presentation event is recommended for ages 5 and up.
