Lucas A. Meyer

Lucas A. Meyer is a Principal Research Scientist at the Microsoft AI for Good Lab, specializing in AI, NLP, and large‑language models, with degrees in Computer Science and Finance (University of Washington).

Since joining the AI for Good Lab, his work has advanced global environmental monitoring, biodiversity acoustics, and digital equity efforts. His projects have earned internal accolades, including a “Researcher of the Amazing” award and presentation to Microsoft C‑suite.

With more than two decades at Microsoft spanning technical sales, finance, and research, Lucas brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective at the intersection of technology, economics, and societal impact.
