Polar Predictions (Best for Grades 3-8)

Celebrate Earth month with an exploration of two of our planets most extreme locations – the Arctic and Antarctic. Learn how these parts of Earth are connected to the places we call home around the world. Discover how observations of climate data from these regions help both scientists and you with making important predictions. 

Recommended Materials: 

During our program we’ll have the opportunity to make an optional weather log. Having materials available to create your log notebook, or decorate an existing notebook is encouraged but not required to participate. If wish to try this activity, we recommend having some of the materials below: 

• Loose sheets of paper or notebook. 
• String or stapler, to bind your journal pages if using loose sheets of paper. 
• Pencil or something to write with. 
• Coloring utensils such as crayons, markers, colored pencils. 
• Any other decorating items as you wish (stickers, pictures, etc.)
