Sky’s the Limit: Fall Astronomy Programming at PacSci

This fall PacSci invites you to join us in celebrating numerous milestones and celebrations in astronomy.

From the centennial planetarium celebration to the upcoming partial solar eclipse in October, premiere of the highly anticipated NASA IMAX® documentary, Deep Sky, and Heliophysics Big Year, PacSci is blasting off to the outer reaches of the universe to explore all things space.

Join us for the following programming:

Special events

• Member-Exclusive 60 Minutes in Space: Eclipses and Exoplanets on Tuesday, September 26
• Science and a Movie: The Martian with Dr. Tanya Harrison on Thursday, September 28
• Science and a Movie: Chasing Steve with NASA scientist, Liz MacDonald, and local Solar System Ambassador, Nancy Cooper.
• Eclipse celebration day on Saturday, October 14 with opportunities to meet scientists from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and experience special eclipse programming.
• Virtual Halloween Science in the City: Real Neuroscience, Alien Brains! on Tuesday, October 24

Month-Long Programming

• The revamp of our refreshed space exhibit, DESTINATION: OUTER SPACE
• New space-themed daytime laser shows twice a day for the entire month of October
• Rotating space content on the floor, including Spectra and sun spotting carts, orbit models, and more.
• Rotating space themed documentaries, including the premiere of Deep Sky on October 20
